JOIN OUR WOLF PACK
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The Wolf Twin Review features fellow poets from around the world—be they seasoned or burgeoning. We support many forms of poetry and seek innovative voices. To read examples of previous features, peruse our interviews.
Note that creativity, nature, humanity, inspirational, uplifting, insightful, humorous, and fantasy-loving themes strike a special chord in our editor’s heart. We enjoy free verse, visual poetry (concrete poetry), and micro poetry: haiku, senryu, gembun, haibun, haiga, tanka (kyoka), sijo, cinquain, tautogram, and tricube. Unique submissions are welcome; we encourage experimental poetry. Our poem length preference is monoku-villanelle (we suggest 1-19 lines, though it's not a rule). Show us your best, and we will regard it with great care.
Before submitting, please read through the guideline list below:
1. All poetry must be original works, written by you.
2. Your poem should be in English (unless it’s in Japanese, or comes with a translation), but may contain words in another language.
3. We accept most modern poetry, except hate-promoting (Including, but not limited to all discriminatory language: animal cruelty, racist, sexist, transphobic, lecherous, and vicious or demeaning language.), or works by territorial carnivores.
4. Previously published works and simultaneous submissions are not accepted. Please, show us your latest work.
5. You may submit once a week, up to 4 poems—but please—do not resubmit the same poems.
6. If your poem accompanies artwork (like a haiga), please submit just the poem with a note below saying: Paired with artwork. Poetry is the most important element, and we will request an art viewing later.
7. You must like wolves who write poetry.
You may ask poetry-related questions through the submission form. Though we can’t reply to every submission, selected poets receive notification. This process often takes a few moons, because of the current submission volume. Thank you for your interest and understanding.
We enjoy inviting poets to join our pack! There's also more than one way to be featured. Subscribe to the Wolf Twin Review for future opportunities, and follow our social media (especially BlueSky), where we share the work of fellow poets weekly.
