April 2026 Edition

In celebration of National Poetry Month, we present Highlights featuring the latest works from our Wolf Pack.

Portraits by: Tré

The latest watercolor haiga by Cendrine Marrouat. The sky is blue with hints of pink and light whispers of grey clouds. There are four bird silhouettes, flying staggered, over the upper left and the upper right. In the foreground is a mossy green mountain that peaks on the left with a black, upright, round-canopied tree atop. Behind it, an orange-brown mountain peaks on the right. The overall feel of this painting is tranquil, cozy, and slightly dusky. This lovely scene conjures the perfect background for Cendrine's haiku:

Suddenly
the asymmetry of mountains
home

Suddenly

the asymmetry of mountains

home

Haiga by Martina Matijević

The image is of a mint green home, centered, being brushed by the limbs of a large pine tree that drape down from the top. There is grass with buttercups and a medium-sized bush before it.

The haiku reads:

uprooting
the home
pine tree

uprooting

the home

pine tree
